3rd Annual Student Gingerbread
Competition »
Thank you to all who participated in the Third Annual Pastry Chicago Gingerbread Celebration here at The Cooking & Hospitality Institute of Chicago this past Saturday, December 6th.There were 35 contestants total and all students received a certificate of participation. There were a record breaking 30 children who participated in the Gingerbread House Workshop this year. All winners received a gift basket filled with complimentary pastry books from John Wiley & Sons, clothing from The French Pastry School, Assorted Le Cordon Bleu gifts from our CHIC bookstore and many food and dessert items donated by Todd Ostrowski of Midwest Imports.

Haunted House Decorating Workshop at Wilton »
This one-hour workshop has the kids decorating their own haunted cookie house. The house is pre-assembled and all the candy decorations and supplies are included. Ghosts and gobblins will assist the children and even wrap up the house to take home. It will be a hauntingly good time for all!(Child must be 6+, maximum 2 children per adult.)

Calling all baking enthusiasts; we are looking for thirty bakers to enter the 1st annual Amateur Sugar Cookie Competition held at Whole Foods Saturday September 6th. Give us a sampling of your tasty cookies and have a chance of winning some marvelous prizes.
Everyone is welcome to attend the demonstration!
