Join us on July 25, 2009 for our second annual Amateur Cookie Contest hosted by Whole Foods. If you have a great cookie recipe, try your hand at this exciting competition. This year's contest flavor is “Citrus”. For our Educational Seminar during our judging period of our Cookie Competition, we are proud to have a presentation of Macaroons, Madelines and Diamontes by The French Pastry School.

First Annual Amateur Cheesecake Competition at Eli’s Cheesecake »

Join us May 4, 2009 for the Amateur Cheesecake Competition hosted by Eli's Cheese Cake. If you are a Hobbyist, Foodie, High School or College Culinary Student try your hand at this exciting competition. We are pleased to be partnering with the American Culinary Federation Windy City Chef Chapter and Eli's Cheesecake for a NEW Pastry Chicago Competition.

The Fourth Annual Student Cake Decorating Competition benefiting Esperanza Community Services was a great success, with more than one hundred attendees there. Many people came out to cheer on the 30 competitors, 17 of whom were in the culinary school level, and 13 representing the high school level.

Free Demonstration on Edible Faberge Easter Eggs »

Join our guest cake decorator, Steven Stellingwerf, as he demonstrates the art of creating beautifully detailed, fully edible, eggs in the Faberge spirit for Easter.  Steven will demonstrate piping, molding, flower making, and color dusting.  Steven has been a sugar artist for over 35 years and instructor for over 25 years. He has judged and demonstrated in America and internationally. He has authored two books: The Gingerbread Box, and Perfectly Simple Muffins.

FREE:  11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 11.
